Milan, Juventus, and Arsenal are leading the pack in the fray to sign Joshua Zirkzee, but there’s a long way to go. Inter have been linked to the Bologna ace as well but are lagging behind the other suitors due to the cost of the deal, La Gazzetta dello Sport informed.

The Rossoneri moved first, but his price tag, €50/60M, is a problem. Bayern Munich have a €40M buy-back clause and are entitled to 40 percent of the income. It appears that the proceeding will go through Bologna and not the Bavarians.

Arsenal have better chances of meeting the Rossoblù’s hefty demands for Zirkzee, but Juventus and Milan won’t give up and have a pair of trump cards. The Bianconeri might hire Thiago Motta, which would help. They aim to add him to Dusan Vlahovic, replacing Moise Kean and Arkadiusz Milik. Cristiano Giuntoli prefers spending more on fees than on salaries.

The Rossoneri are plotting a €45/50M offer plus Alexis Saelemaekers. The Emiliani have a €9.5M option to keep the loanee, who’s highly likely to stay put regardless. The Dutchman wouldn’t mind continuing in Serie A despite the interest from major foreign sides.

Our Take on Zirkzee, Juventus, Milan, and Arsenal

If it comes down just to money, the Gunners will come out victorious, but there could be other factors at stake. Timing is also of the essence and the Rossoneri have been after him for ages. He and Vlahovic are compatible tactically, although not in Motta’s scheme, but might not be financially.
