Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Sends Bold Message To Rest Of NFL
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Travis Kelce found himself beaming with joy on Monday as the Kansas City Chiefs and the nine-time Pro Bowler reached a mutually satisfying agreement on a two-year contract extension.

The freshly inked deal catapults Kelce, aged 34, to the summit as the highest-paid tight end in the NFL for the upcoming two seasons, solidifying his role as Patrick Mahomes’ go-to target once more come autumn.

Amidst the celebratory atmosphere in Kansas City, Kelce took a moment to address both Chiefs fans and the broader NFL community shortly after putting pen to paper.

“Back at it again baby! Had to see a little Super Bowl right there man,” Kelce exclaimed in a video shared by the Chiefs on X/Twitter. “Feels good to be in KC. I remember coming here 12 years ago man. It’s an honor and a pleasure and I can’t wait to get after it these next two years. But no better [time] than right now, getting fired up for this year. Just got out on the field with the boys, we’re back at it baby! Chiefs forever!”

Kelce, fresh off a record-setting playoff performance, shows no signs of slowing down as he enters his 13th NFL season, maintaining his status as the premier tight end in the game and a strong contender for the greatest of all-time at his position.

With his bank account now substantially fatter, Kelce’s two-year extension guarantees him a handsome sum of $17 million, with a little over $17 million secured for the 2025 season on the third day of the league year next March.

Fans cannot wait for the NFL season to get here. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs will be ready to go for a three-peat.
