NBA outlines reason behind Draymond Green's latest ejection

Stephen Curry had that "not again" look on his face when Draymond Green was ejected within the first four minutes of the Warriors' road game against the Magic on Wednesday night.

The replays showed that Green let the obscenities fly while walking back to the locker room after his 19th career ejection and fourth of the season. It was later revealed that Green's potty mouth was the reason he was ejected in the first place.

After the game, NBA crew chief Mitchell Ervin revealed the conversation between Green and referee Ray Acosta that led to the Warriors forward's ejection. Ervin answered three questions as part of the NBA's Pool Report interview with Orlando Sentinel's Jason Beede.

Beede: Golden State's Draymond Green was ejected at the 8:24 mark of the 1st quarter. Why did Green receive a second technical foul?
Ervin: After a prolonged diatribe, Green directed egregious profane language towards a game official.
Beede: The ejection came early in the game, less than four minutes in, was the timing of the second technical foul considered at all before it was handed out?
Ervin: No, his actions met the standard for a technical foul, which was his second technical foul, which results in an automatic ejection.
Beede: Did the player's history have any impact on the decision to hand him a technical foul and eject him?
Ervin: Absolutely not.

The last answer is particularly telling considering Green's contentious history.

One thing is for certain: nobody feels any sympathy for Green. After the Warriors eked out a 101-93 road win over the Magic, Curry and Steve Kerr had less than flattering things to say about Green. While Kerr said Green "deserved" the ejection, Curry implored his teammate to keep his emotions in check.

The incident on Wednesday felt like the final straw for Green's time in Golden State. It shouldn't surprise anyone if the Warriors part with the controversial player this offseason.
