Unfortunately, Derrick White was ruled out of Monday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks before tip, so our Look of the Day was voided. That's the world of NBA player props for you.
LeBron James is doubtful to play Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, so there will be a ton of usage up for grabs for the Los Angeles Lakers. One player who benefits statistically from James's absence is D'Angelo Russell.
Russell is averaging 6.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game this season, but those numbers jump to 10.7 and 5.3 when James doesn't suit up. In nine games without LeBron on the court this year, Russell has recorded at least eight assists and three rebounds in every contest. He's gone over this rebounds + assists line in eight of those nine games.
The James-less Lakers played the Bucks earlier this month, and Russell went off for 44 points, nine assists and six rebounds. Milwaukee struggles to contain opposing point guards because of Damian Lillard's deficiencies on the defensive end. We expect Russell to clear his rebounds + assists line in a solid matchup.
