Though it’s unlikely he plays Saturday, Green, who underwent surgery on his right knee on Jan. 11, appears to be nearing a return.
Don’t look now, but it shouldn’t be too much longer before the Chicago Bulls bring Javonte Green back into the fold.
Per the team’s injury report, Green, who underwent an arthroscopic debridement on his right knee on Jan. 11, is questionable for Saturday’s game against Miami.
Green injured his knee in early December and suited up for just six of the team’s 14 games thereafter.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound spark plug’s rehab took a turn for the better recently, leading to him taking contact in practice Friday for the first time since going under the knife.
Though Green is unlikely to see the court against the Heat tonight, the runway appears to be clearing for his return next week.
Elsewhere on the team’s injury report is Alex Caruso, who is listed as “probable” after returning from illness and logging 32 minutes in a double-overtime victory against Minnesota Friday.
