Golf best bets: 2 long shots to target at LIV Golf Adelaide

LIV Golf heads to Australia this weekend for its sixth tournament of the season at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide. Talor Gooch tore up The Grange last year for a 19 under final score in three rounds, but we're looking deeper down the board for some bigger prices this time.

Here are the two long shots we're backing with outright and top-10 bets at LIV Golf Adelaide.

Sebastian Munoz (+7500 ESPN BET)

The Grange is a short golf course that gives up a ton of birdies, so we're looking for players who can fill it up in a hurry. Enter Sebastian Munoz, who ranks second on LIV behind Jon Rahm in birdies per round this season.

Munoz doesn't have a top-10 finish since LIV Golf Las Vegas in February, but this is the perfect golf course for his game. The Columbian finished T21 in Adelaide last year after he shot an opening-round 73. He followed that up with a 7-under 65 in the second round and a 5-under 67 in the third round. Munoz is a streaky player who can stack up birdies in a hurry, so we like his chances to contend on an easy golf course.

Matt Jones (+10000 FanDuel)

LIV Golf Adelaide is likely going to turn into a putting contest due to how many players will be able to hit greens in regulation, and there aren't many players on the rival tour with a hotter putter than Matt Jones. The 44-year-old ranks third on LIV in putting average behind only Cameron Smith and Louis Oosthuizen.

Jones struggled in Adelaide last season, but he should be comfortable on this golf course considering he grew up in southeast Australia. The two-time PGA Tour winner only stands a chance on short golf courses at this stage of his career, and this one in his home country should suit him well.
